Publication Ethics

Helwan Journal of English Studies (HJES) is keen on guaranteeing high-quality research publications and building trust in judgements that ensure the acknowledgment of researchers for their innovative and insightful papers. HJES abides by the standards of expected ethical behavior for all parties involved in the publication process: the author, the journal editor and the reviewer.

Researchers should submit truly original papers that are free from any sort of plagiarism. Concurrent and redundant submission is not accepted. Submitted papers should be void of any conflict of interest. The sources used in the development of the paper should be recognized and acknowledged. If any error is revealed after submission, it should be immediately forwarded to the Editor.

Reviewers are entrusted with all the information related to the paper submitted by the researcher. Papers are reviewed objectively disregarding the researcher’s gender, race, ethnicity, religion, or political values. Papers are appraised for critical analysis most remarkably for reliability and originality of research work.

Editors help researchers manifest their efforts in a genuine paper, free from any errors and help making it suitable for publication. In a word, they deal impartially with all the publication decisions so that worthy researchers place their works in HJES.
